Your future job:

Analysis of Current Network Architecture:

  • Conduct in-depth technical audits of existing infrastructure.
  • Identify weaknesses, inefficiencies, and technical debt.

Design of Target Architecture:

  • Create designs for modern, scalable, and secure architecture for IP, UDN, Packet Core, and Voice (IMS).
  • Collaborate with other architects (e.g., OSS/BSS, Cloud, Cybersecurity) to align overall strategies.

Implementation and Deployment Support:

  • Develop implementation plans and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate with engineering and operations teams during deployment.
  • Ensure reliability of architecture and validate its performance.
  • Participate in the testing, validation, and optimization of new architecture.

Standardization and Documentation:

  • Create and update architectural documentation, designs, and models.
  • Define network standards and best practices.

Required knowledge and skills:

Deep understanding in:

  • IP Networking – Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), MPLS, Segment Routing
  • Mobile Packet Core – EPC, 5GC (AMF, SMF, UPF), GTP, Diameter, HTTP/2
  • Voice over IP and IMS – CSCF, SBC, MGCF, MRFC/MRFP
  • Subscriber Registries – UDR, UDM, HLR, HSS

Experience in designing and migrating complex network solutions in high-traffic environments (preferably in telco settings)
Knowledge of 3GPP, ETSI, IETF standards
Hands-on experience with virtualization/cloudification of network functions (NFV, CNF, Kubernetes is a plus)
Ability to prepare technical documentation, presentations, and defend architectural decisions
Knowledge of security aspects of network architecture (firewalls, segmentation, DDoS protection)

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree in a technical field (IT / Telecommunications / Electrical Engineering)
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in telco networks, with at least 10 years in an architectural or senior technical position
  • Certifications (preferred): Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Nokia NRS II, Juniper JNCIP/JNCIE, 3GPP certifications, TOGAF
  • Fluent English (technical and spoken) – necessary for international environment
