To satisfy growing client demand and strengthen the delivery team, we are now looking for a technical consultant to support Space related projects with background related to especially Earth Observation, GIS and similar. What you can expect?

In CGI Space, we deliver end-to-end products to clients from various market sectors. We have several areas of activities related to remote sensing: EO data processing and analytics platform, on-demand Proofs of Concept, GIS analysis and new solution development.
Space Technical Consultants shall be individuals interested in Space technologies, remote sensing and geospatial intelligence. They shall bring innovative solutions to the end-users, support the delivery of projects with data analysis and data processing, and help with seeking of new opportunities.
Are you experienced with geospatial analysis and data processing? Do you have an understanding and knowledge of any current Earth Observation mission’s products (f.e. Sentinel 1 to 5P; Landsat or any other)? Are you creative, willing to propose new areas of interest, work on new algorithms, utilize existing tools? You are the one we are looking for.
If you think you don’t meet the conditions and don’t have any proven track record of experience with the Earth Observation, but you are experienced in related area of interest and very keen to learn and be active in this area? Your willingness to learn these, creative thinking, ability to orientate in new fields is more important for us than a full skill set.
The position is suitable for students, fresh graduates or even experienced professionals. You will not get bored with us.

As Space Technical Consultant you will participate on:

• Innovative Space oriented projects within the most important European space agencies
• Preparation of business and technical proposals
• Consultations with developers, business consultants, product owners – seeking for understanding of possible relations between the data, the solutions, the client opportunities
• Designing the solution, support in development and testing and its implementation according to client's requirements
• Coming up with new product ideas, preparation of the processing of the respective data
• Project delivery together with the project team

Essential Qualifications:

• Communicative level of English and Czech/Slovak
• Being a team player
• Knowledge of Earth Observation datasets (any experience with processing, knowledge of characteristics or possible utilization)
• The ability to work effectively and in an organised way
• Analytical thinking, the ability to search for answers and to use them in praxis
• Willingness to learn new things
• Basic knowledge and interest in the area of space
• Experience in the area of spatial data processing and analysis

The following is a great advantage:

• Programming basics (Java or Python)
• Experience in technical solution design
• Hands-on experience with vector datasets and GIS
• Experience with machine learning in context of data processing
