We are seeking an experienced, driven, and business-oriented Business Controller to join our high-performing Controller Team. In this role, you will work independently while collaborating closely with colleagues, operational teams, and stakeholders across the organization. As a Business Controller, you will play a key role in supporting business decisions by providing high-quality financial analysis, insights, and advice. You will translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights and communicate these effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include financial performance management, monthly closing, forecasting and budgeting, project controlling, and decision support. You will proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities and help translate financial performance into actions that support the business. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes, tools, and ways of working, both within the team and across the organization, locally and globally.


Your future duties and responsibilities
• Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of financial and operational results for reporting, forecasting, and decision-making purposes.
• Prepare annual, quarterly, and monthly forecasts for assigned business areas, client groups, or departments.
• Analyze financial and operational performance, identify key trends and drivers, and provide actionable insights to business stakeholders.
• Deliver accurate, relevant, and timely analysis of actual results against budgets, forecasts, and plans, including clear explanations of key variances.
• Develop financial models, scenarios, and business cases to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Provide proactive financial advice to operational stakeholders, supporting effective business and commercial decisions.
• Oversee project controlling, including financial performance, profitability, forecasting, and follow-up.
• Support cash management activities, including work in progress (WIP) and accounts receivable (AR), and contribute to effective working capital management.
• Participate in monthly closing activities and ensure compliance with relevant finance processes, policies, and reporting requirements.
• Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of performance management tools, reports, and processes.
• Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing the quality, accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness of financial processes and reporting.
• Support internal and external audits and SOX control activities by providing appropriate documentation, evidence, and financial expertise.
• Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports as required to support business needs.


Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Key Competencies:
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail while maintaining a broader business perspective.
• Ability to translate complex financial information into clear, concise, and actionable insights.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to advise, influence, and constructively challenge business stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, performance management, and financial analysis.
• Good understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Understanding of internal controls and SOX requirements.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proactive and self-driven, with the ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and take ownership of deliverables.
• Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across functions, teams, and geographies.
• Continuous improvement mindset, with an interest in developing more efficient processes, tools, and ways of working.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 5+ years of previous experience in similar roles.
• Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of a Scandinavian language is an advantage.
