Project Engineer – Electrical /Oil & Gas Turbomachinery

We are looking for a Project Engineer (Electrical) to lead and coordinate engineering activities for new turbomachinery projects in the Energy and Oil & Gas sectors. This role focuses on Construction Services and Balance of Plant (BOP) scope and offers hands‑on involvement across the full project lifecycle—from early engineering through commissioning. Projects are typically in the $10 to $50 millions range in revenue for execution over a 1 to 3-year cycles. You will work closely with project managers, customers, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver high‑quality, compliant, and reliable engineering solutions.

What will be your task at this position?

• Lead engineering activities for small to medium‑size projects, from early engineering and design freeze through manufacturing, testing, installation, and commissioning
• Develop and validate electrical engineering solutions for Balance of Plant (BOP) items
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, certification requirements, and quality standards
• Review and clarify customer technical requirements and project specifications
• Prepare RFQs, support supplier selection, and manage supplier and contractor engineering activities
• Coordinate engineering execution with project management, supply chain, and technical teams
• Identify technical risks and define mitigation actions
• Serve as the lead technical interface with customers and suppliers throughout project execution

What do we expect from a suitable candidate?

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent technical experience)
• Experience in turbomachinery, Oil & Gas, or complex technical projects
• Strong background in Electrical Engineering
• Working knowledge of gas turbines and electrical/control systems
• Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder‑management skills
• Languages: Fluent in English, additional European language (French, German, or Italian) is a plus

Preferred:

• Previous experience in a Project Engineering or similar role

• Experience working with suppliers, contractors, and EPC/OEM environments

Travel Requirement:

• Frequent travel to customer sites and supplier facilities across Europe and the EAME region
• Flexibility to travel is essential
