As a Senior Software Test Engineer, you will contribute to quality assurance of software systems and/or applications in order to deliver information technology components based on client or customer requirements.

What will be your task at this position?

Responsibilities of the successful candidates are to provide manual and/or automation testing of features and capabilities of platform and/or applications.

• Competent to perform all testing, defect and test case management, and quality assurance assignments without close supervision; normally assigned the complex aspects of systems work.
• Competent to perform all testing activities of new and existing software products.
• Understand and use different test types for functional and non-functional requirements (e.g. systems, regression, integration, performance, security and user acceptance testing)
• Works directly on complex application/technical problem identification and resolution.
• Works independently on complex systems or infrastructure components that may be used by one or more applications or systems.
• Analyze business requirement to develop and execute manual and automation test cases
• Document software issues and defects in bug tracking software and monitor for the resolution.
• Coordinate with product owner to resolve open issues/enhancements/upgrades and understand the use of a specific functionality as needed
• Communicate with end users and internal customers to help direct development, debugging, and testing of application software for accuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completeness
• Performs integration testing and customer acceptance testing of components that requires careful planning and execution to ensure timely, quality results.
• Prepare test plans with clear scope, objectives, deliverables and risks identification
• Tracking and reporting of quantitative and qualitative test result/metrics
• Ensuring testing is carried out in a timely, repeatable, and effective manner
• Able to mentor junior level team members.
• Collaborate with a team of software and test engineers, designers, and data scientists to optimize and iterate on software solutions.
• Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by the management from time to time.

What do we expect from a suitable candidate?

Basic qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience in Software engineering.
• Proven record of strong technical understanding and technical leadership.
• 5 years or more of relevant industry experience.
• 3 years or more of experience with software testing (including test case design, test data preparation and test automation for functional and non-functional test types) for large scale enterprise web & mobile applications
• 2 years or more load and performance testing experience
• 3 years or more of test automation framework design and development experience
• 3 years or more of prior either functional or object-oriented coding experience in modern programming languages like JavaScript/TypeScript, Java or Python
• Strong development skills in two or more of the following technologies and tools: Cypress, Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, JMeter, Robot Framework or other testing frameworks
• Strong experience in testing Webservices (REST APIs)
• Understanding of version strategies and experience with code management tools (e.g. Git)
• 3 years or more of experience with code review process and understanding of code standard practices
• The ability to write queries for relational or other types of databases
• Experience with integrating developed test automation code into CI/CD
• Experience with cloud services
• Understanding of system and infrastructure specifics necessary for test design
• Strong understanding of Agile methodology.
• You communicate in Slovak and English.

Top candidates will also have:

• Experience with mobile testing (android / iOS & native / hybrid web application)
• Experience with Apigee or other API gateways is a plus
• Experience with GraphQL
• Experience with penetration testing
• Understanding of AI implementation or experience with testing of such systems
• Understanding of a micro service architecture
• Strong documentation skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to a complex environment
• Pro-active, flexible and creative
• Very strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with developers and business users.
