This position reports to General Manager of EAME Product Center (EPC) and is accountable for providing leadership, vision and direction to the Overhaul Operations and Maintenance team members including long term visions and development activities for sustainable growth. Key interfaces include Value Stream and Group Managers in facilities in Czech Republic as well as other WW Solar centers and groups - Desoto TX, San Diego HD. KM, Melbourne. It is common for this position to communicate directly with Internal and external customers and suppliers. It has strong focus on promoting and driving workplace safety to protect the health and well-being of employees.

This position provides support to all groups in EPC and provide information, expertise, and direction for problem resolution. Actively Improving internal/external quality is essential for this position. Regular reporting of KPIs, Safety & Quality improvements to WW audience is expected.

What will be your task at this position?

• Leads complex organization of up to 50 employees.
• Manage 6+ direct report and leaders in Operations team assigned to assembling/reparing/dissaselmbling (gas producers, power turbines, gearboxes and gas compressors).
• Manages maintenenance department – developes and implements preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and prolong the lifespan of equipment and facility.
• Colaborates closely with security manager to ensure adherence to emergency policies and proceedures such as Emergency Response Plan, Evacuation proceedures etc.
• Develope long term group vision & growth strategy to enable sustainable growth.
• Drives the team to perform safely and promotes safe work environement including 5S, ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment and site.
• Executes and monitors programs and actions within the group to achieve the vision/and support Core Business Principles (ensures smooth planning and execution of the production plan).
• Provide support and guidance for root cause investigations to drive continuous improvement and drive BIQ (Built In Quality).
• Personnel development, work schedule, attendance, leading direct reports, leading leaders.
• Provide mentoring and training for the operations team.
• Maintain training and competency matrix.
• Develops, maintains, and oversights critical KPIs for Zebrak Facility .
• Strong collaboration accross departments (EHS, Engineering, Quality, Test, Project Management, Logistics/Warehouse, Supply chain, Rotodynamic and HR).
• Support capital planning and enhanced capability project implementation.

What do we expect from a suitable candidate?

• University degree in technical field, preferred mechanical, aerospace, energetics or transportation field.
• 5+ years turbomachinery experience with Gas Turbines or Gas Compressors.
• Strong knowledge of Lean 6 Sigma principles, ability to lead multiple projects cross departments/facilities/organizations.
• 5+ years of direct leadership & leading leaders experience required.
• Detailed knowledge of Solar’s various engine products, and familiar with Solar's other turbomachinery accessory products.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative to improve/update complex processes and improve quality through identification of root cause and facilitating implementation of corrective action.
• Demonstrated communication skills (verbal and written). Must be able to effectively communicate with internal and external customers, as well as leadership, with proficiency in communicating technical information.
• Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
