Fleet Engineer is responsible for providing advanced technical and administrative support to Fleet Managers in managing Machinery Management Agreements between Solar and customers.
He/she provides leadership to Solar and customer technicians and operation & maintenance teams to ensure adherence to Solar’s recommended maintenance procedures and specifications.
This role includes regular equipment assessments on site, initial failure analysis online, fault assessment, maintenance optimization, overhaul planning, repair, as well as operation and maintenance recommendations and reporting.
The successful candidate will have 6-months technical training in the USA as part of the onboarding process.

What will be your task at this position?

  • Implement and maintain all necessary maintenance procedures to meet performance objectives, including safety practices, predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance, and failure analysis.
  • Remote Monitoring and Diagnostics of gas turbine plants
  • Quantify and document the value delivered to customers, showcasing the benefits of our services.
  • Proactively manage the repair and major overhaul schedules, parts provisioning, and mobilization of technicians to customer sites.

What do we expect from a suitable candidate?

  • The Fleet Engineer will have demonstrated advanced technical and administrative proficiency.
  • Knowledge and experience in gas turbines and turbomachinery equipment and processes is a plus.
  • Must be able to understand, evaluate and analyze complex technical information.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of technical and non-technical internal and external stakeholders and possessing strong interpersonal skills is imperative.
  • Must have the ability to work effectively under pressure, both within a team environment and with minimum supervision, have a strong sense of urgency.
  • The Fleet Engineer will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical discipline and/ or equivalent work experience.
  • Language skills: Fluent English is a must. German, Italian or other languages would be beneficial.
