We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to join the Solar Turbines team in Prague.

The Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing new turbomachinery projects for oil & gas applications. He/She leads execution from project award to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

The projects are turbomachinery and ancillary systems for international customers. Typical projects are $10 to $50 millions in revenue for execution over a 1 to 3-year cycles.

The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with a proven track record of successfully managing complex technical projects in a fast-paced environment.

What will be your task at this position?

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams, providing guidance, support, and motivation to ensure project success.
  • Monitor project progress against the plan, identifying and addressing any issues or risks that may arise.
  • Communicate regularly with customers, suppliers and project team members, stakeholders, and senior management to provide updates on project status, remove any roadblock and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Manage project budgets, expenses, and resources effectively to ensure cost-effectiveness and profitability.
  • Conduct regular project meetings and reviews to evaluate performance, identify lessons learned, and implement process improvements.
  • Facilitate effective collaboration and communication among team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Resolve conflicts and escalate issues as needed to ensure timely resolution and mitigate project risks.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

What do we expect from a suitable candidate?

  • Master’s degree and/or significant experience in rotating equipment and turbomachinery systems are required.

    Project management experience and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification with proven track record if delivering projects on time and within budget are highly desirable.

    Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

    Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, etc and knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile, Waterfall, etc.

    Flexibility to travel and operate in a diverse multi-cultural environment.

    Language skills to include English. Another European language, preferably French, German, Italian, would be a plus.
