We are looking for 2 new colleagues to join our Supply Chain team. This part time role is suitable for students who are in their last years of university and are interested in Supply Chain. You can get experience in the area of data analysis, systems data setup, contracting, supplier negotiations, purchasing, planning, technical parameters of qualified parts at supplier and compliance. This role is for at least 6 months, and we need somebody who can work at least 15 - 20 hours a week.

What will be your task at this position?

Learn and later be responsible:

  • For managing purchased material requirements and taking appropriate actions to ensure material availability when needed, with appropriate inventory levels. Includes development and maintenance of planning data, order release process and coordination with buyers on capacity.
  • Actively involved in varied projects in support of business objectives: cost reductions, inventory reduction initiatives, lead - time reduction, lean manufacturing, and 6-sigma.
  • Participate on supplier evaluation and onboarding.
  • Leads the communication on ordering policies with suppliers.
  • Support buyers for processing purchase orders, resolving chronic delivery issues, and supporting in resolving discrepant material issues.
  • Support buyers for purchased commitments; follows up with supplier deliveries and schedule changes. Investigate schedule delays, establish, and communicate revised schedules.
  • Perform data analysis on spend and supplier base to identify opportunities for cost reductions, sourcing activities and supplier consolidation.
  • Maintain data accuracy in information systems (e.g., ensure dates are up to date, part set-up, lot sizes, etc.).
  • Support Supplier Technical Engineers in qualification processes with suppliers (PPAP).

What do we expect from a suitable candidate?

  • Positive and ambitious person interested in learning new things and contributing to success of whole team.
  • You communicate fluently in Czech as well in business English. Additional European language capabilities are a strong plus.
  • You are a university student studying Legal, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or relevant.
  • If not a student, you have had exposure to negotiating commercial agreements with external suppliers.
  • You are a self-starter, take initiative, and make recommendation when problems are identified.
  • Active driver with good PC skills (MS Office and ERP systems).
