What will be your task at this position?

  • Lead external repair qualifications for some gas turbines components　
  • Leads the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and works with Design Engineering team to define process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meet product requirements
  • Key point of contact for vendors related to material and process qualifications (communicate Solar's specifications to supplier technical teams).　
  • Provide leadership in resolution of quality problems associated with externally overhauled parts
  • Ensure that external repair qualifications are completed as per agreed timelines (track major
  • milestones, prioritize, ensure proper support from vendor engineers to meet target completion dates...)
  • Lead root cause analysis activities to ensure supplier quality performance is regularly reported and that appropriate and timely corrective actions are implemented.
  • Collaborate with Sourcing Specialist, Buyer/Coordinator, Manufacturing Engineer to improve supplier cost, quality and throughput

What do we expect from a suitable candidate?

  • Manufacturing / Quality experience
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings 　
  • Project management experience　
  • Experience with assembly, machining, welding, heat-treatment process preferred
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as a team member　
  • Familiarity with engineering practices & process planning (interpretation of drawings, tooling concepts, Non- Destructive Testing (NDT), Functional Test, etc.) and technical product knowledge (including metallurgy).
  • Good communication skills, ability to effectively interface with internal customers at all levels as well as external supplier contacts.
  • Fluent in Czech and English
  • PC skills MS office good level of knowledge
  • At least 3-5 years of experience with Bc. degree or 1-3 years of experience for Master’s degree in the similar role
  • At the senior level, projects will increase in complexity and value to Solar's strategic objectives
