What will be your task at this position?

  • Run daily business in Supply Chain as well as ad hoc requests for quotations, solving of problems, claims resolution
  • Assure compliance to established purchasing policies and procedures and legal requirements
  • Participate in drafting, negotiating and concluding contracts for long-term supplies and capital items
  • Actively involved in varied projects in support of business objectives: cost reductions, inventory reduction initiatives, lead - time reduction, lean manufacturing and 6-sigma; at a senior level may lead projects on a strategic level.
  • Supplier evaluation, onboarding, development and contract management
  • Leads the communication on ordering policies with suppliers including potential business trips to suppliers within EAME Region EU
  • Responsible for processing purchase orders, resolving chronic delivery issues, and supporting in resolving discrepant material issues.
  • Focal point for purchased commitments; follows up with supplier deliveries and schedule changes.
  • Investigate schedule delays, establish and communicate revised schedules. When constraints exist, work with the business to prioritize enterprise requirements based on need.

What do we expect from a suitable candidate?

  • You have Bachelor´s or Master´s degree in Engineering with +5 years of experience Master degree in industrial engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong scheduling and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Knowledge of inventory and planning basic principles, and a basic understanding of manufacturing and service operations, with product and commodity knowledge preferred.
  • Strong Aanalytical, problem solving and decision skills - making skills as well as strong oral and written communication skills required.
  • Computer/ system skills/ MS Office skills, with an emphasis on MS Project and Excel, and ERP (Navision, SAP, BAAN,) systems required.
  • Material Management, Planning, or Supply Chain certifications and knowledge of basic 6 Sigma principles preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in manufacturing of industrial components or in project and/or site management activities related to industrial plants, experience in planning activities for the same type of components / industry will be a plus.
  • Fluent in English, Czech language is great advantage
  • The respective salary grade within the SC structure will be determined by the candidates relevant skills and experience
  • Maintain data accuracy in information systems (e.g., ensure dates are up to date, part set-up, lot sizes, etc).

  • Procurement Management
  • Applies advanced Supply Chain knowledge to manage processes, establish policies, and develop value-adding strategies.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with internal clients and lower-level supplier executives functioning as the Supply Chain and Solar ambassador.
  • Monitors and manages ownership of risk from financial, business continuation, and compliance perspectives.
  • Ensures procurement processes meets audit, regulatory, and legal standards.
  • Has the ability to lead a team, provides direction, and coaches less experienced staff members.
  • Contract Management

  • Leads agreements on complex, high value contracts, and resolves issues. Develops and implements solutions to improve contract compliance. Proactively identifies issues during and after contract completion and manage resolution.
  • Develops standard written agreements for development requirements.
  • Works closely with users defining supplier performance measurements and reporting frameworks.
  • Manages the transition process when changing contracted suppliers.
  • Negotiation

  • Creates negotiation strategies based on thorough knowledge of business requirements.
  • Communicates negotiation strategies and parameters to negotiating team and defines roles.
  • Able to ethically execute negotiation strategy for moderate criticality/complexity items displaying varied negotiation techniques to achieve best results.
  • Identifies and resolves areas of risk.
  • Supplier Selection & Management
  • Integral part of supplier selection process and managing the relationships of existing suppliers.
  • Manages relationship of moderate to high complex suppliers.
  • Provides mentorship in establishing continuous improvement plans to achieve mutual benefits.
  • Cost Management

  • Applies business strategies to daily activities, contributes to make-buy decisions, identifies market opportunities, gaps and trends.
  • Understands, applies and coaches others in building and analyzing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models.
  • Purchasing Execution

  • Resolves high complexity purchasing related grief issues with minimal assistance.
  • Develops, recommends, and provides training & mentorship around purchasing processes, process changes and tools.
  • Executes risk mitigation strategies to avoid Supply Chain disruption.
  • Validates data integrity, identifies data gaps, and updates & corrects system data.
