What will be your task at this position?

  • Provide Hardware and Operating Systems support for
  • Field Service personnel using Field Programming Units (FPU) laptop computers.
  • OS, Base Application configuration and issue resolution for remote customers: Windows 10/11 Office 365 (Outlook, Word & Excel, Skype, Teams etc.),
  • Rockwell software, Allen Bradley devices and other technical software used on the field.
  • Review and document support processes and knowledge documents.
  • Perform hardware/software support and issue resolution for remote customers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve VPN connectivity issues for customers.
  • Perform testing and acceptance of updated applications and updated build images and software packages.
  • Perform remediation on patching issues to ensure compliance with security standards.

What do we expect from a suitable candidate?

  • At least 5 years experience working in a customer support environment using a ticketing system.
  • At least 5 years experience working in a customer support environment where you directly communicated with customers using telephone, IM, texting or Email.
  • Working knowledge of OS platforms and mobile devices (Windows 10/11, Android, and IOS), certification preferred (minimum 3 years experience in lieu of certification)
  • Working knowledge of serial and ethernet communications and devices. Must be able to configure software setting for Parity, stop bits, set up IP configurations to use Dynamic or static IP addresses.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving IP communication issues for remote customers.
  • A good understanding of VPN and tunnelling protocol.
  • At least 5 years’ experience troubleshooting software issues and performing repairs down to the registry level.
  • Highly proficient in both spoken and written English. (Ability to speak other languages like Spanish or French will be advantage – not required)
