Position characteristics

Define business problems, formulate analytical hypotheses, and discover actionable insights with demonstrable business value. Use statistical analysis, SQL, and Python‑based analytics to source, analyze, and interpret large and complex datasets across the organization. Apply data modeling, geospatial analysis, and business intelligence techniques to support decision‑making. Develop and maintain analytical datasets and reporting layers within a cloud‑based big data environment. Contribute to the design and improvement of data pipelines and analytical processes connecting internal and external data sources.

What will you do here?

• Define business problems and analytical questions; translate them into structured data analyses and measurable outcomes.
• Analyze large‑scale datasets using SQL, Python (pandas), and PySpark across distributed data platforms.
• Perform geospatial and location‑based analyses, including spatial aggregation and heatmap creation, using internal data and public datasets (e.g. RÚIAN, ČSÚ).
• Prepare, validate, and transform data for analytical and reporting purposes, ensuring data quality and consistency.
• Develop and maintain analytical datasets and reporting layers within GCP‑based data environments.
• Contribute to and operate analytical workflows and pipelines orchestrated via Apache Airflow.
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, data models, and KPIs aligned with business definitions.
• Interpret analytical results, create clear narratives (storytelling), and communicate insights to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Support measurement of business impact through defined metrics and analytical reporting.
• Cooperate with data engineering, data governance, network and business teams to ensure compliant and secure use of data.

• Programming & analytics: Python (pandas), PySpark, analytical scripting
• Databases & querying: SQL, Spark SQL, distributed querying
• Big Data platforms: Apache Spark, Hadoop ecosystem
• Cloud platforms: Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Data pipelines & orchestration: Apache Airflow, ETL / ELT workflows
• Business Intelligence: Power BI, data modeling, DAX, KPI design
• Geospatial analytics: spatial aggregation, heatmaps, map‑based analysis, weighted calculations, grid-based calculations (H3)
• Data sources: public administrative & statistical data (RÚIAN, ČSÚ)
• Data practices: data quality validation, transformation, reproducible analytics
• Business skills: analytical thinking, stakeholder communication, business context understanding
• MS Office: Advanced
• English: Advanced
• Experience with AI tools to enhance productivity
