Head of Brand & Communications

We’re looking for a transformative Head of Brand & Communications to define and deliver a long‑term brand and communications strategy that differentiates Vodafone, fuels commercial priorities, and increases brand value.
This role goes beyond communications excellence. You will embed customer insight, marketing intelligence, and customer experience thinking into everything we do — ensuring our brand promise is consistently felt across every touchpoint.
You’ll lead our MarkComm, Brand, Insight, and CX agenda, set the bar for creative excellence, and turn big ideas into measurable business impact.
What you’ll lead
- Vision & Strategy - Own the end‑to‑end Brand & Communications strategy that gives customers compelling reasons to choose Vodafone — grounded in customer insight and directly supporting company goals, priorities, and revenue targets.
- Customer insight & marketing research - Lead the use of market research, customer insight, and brand performance tracking to inform strategy, creative direction, media investment, and proposition communication. Turn data into clear stories, decisions, and action.
- Customer experience & brand consistency - Shape how the Vodafone brand is experienced across the full customer journey — from mass communications and digital to retail, propositions, and service touchpoints — ensuring consistency, relevance, and emotional connection.
- Team leadership - Manage, motivate, and develop a high‑performing MarkComm & Brand organisation — setting clear priorities, role‑modelling leadership, and creating an inspiring climate that drives behaviour change and accountability.
- Integrated communications - Lead strategic above‑the‑line campaigns, point‑of‑sale communications, and media planning with a deep understanding of how brand, creative, channels, and customer experience connect.
- Budget ownership - Take overall responsibility for annual planning, management, and tracking of the Brand & Communications budget; drive smart investment decisions, streamline processes, and accelerate innovation and simplification.
- Crossfunctional impact - Translate the brand and CX strategy into best‑in‑class communication and experience tactics for the Czech market — partnering closely with Consumer and Business Marketing, Digital, Retail, and Customer Care teams.
- Agency & partner ecosystem - Build strong relationships with creative, research, retail, and media partners; evaluate performance and implement corrective actions to deliver award‑worthy ideas, campaigns, and experiences that reflect Vodafone’s style and tonality.
- Digital & experience acceleration - Champion modern communication methods and channels (including biddable digital media) and continuously evolve how insight, technology, and creativity improve customer experience in a fast‑paced, highly collaborative environment.
What you’ll bring
- A proven track record leading brand, marketing communications, customer insight, or integrated marketing at scale (ideally in complex, high‑visibility consumer categories).
- Leadership excellence — building, coaching, and energising multi‑disciplinary teams and agency partners to do the best work of their careers.
- Strong insight‑to‑action capability — from commissioning research and interpreting data to shaping strategy, creative briefs, and experience improvements.
- Creative and commercial acumen — from judging ideas and storytelling to setting KPIs, reading results, and reallocating spend for impact.
- Mastery of media strategy across ATL/BTL, with deep experience in digital and biddable channels, retail, and point‑of‑sale ecosystems.
- Financial stewardship of significant budgets and an instinct for simplification and scalable processes.
- Strong stakeholder influence; fluent Czech and English .
