Discover Trainee Program - Finance Business Partner

What is the Discover program?

You’ll become part of the Discover trainee program, designed for graduates and students of university who are seeking a full-time job. Over two years, you’ll rotate through several different roles and departments to become an expert with a broad perspective. You’ll be assigned challenging projects, but you’ll get plenty of support to help you succeed. You'll receive training in both hard and soft skills to grow your expertise and your leadership potential. Throughout the program, you’ll meet other Discover trainees and build a community of people who share your mindset.

Who are we looking for?

You have at least a bachelor’s degree, you're up to 26 years and graduated no more than two years ago. You speak English fluently, and knowledge of Czech is an advantage. You’re ambitious and eager to move into leadership roles, and you’re willing to put in the necessary effort. You understand this program gives you a lot, but it also expects a lot from you.

Who are we?

We’re a dynamic team at Vodafone focused on planning, reporting, and performance controlling for the Consumer business segment. Our work is diverse and sometimes demanding, but we always maintain a positive attitude, enjoy helping each other, and strive to keep learning.

What can you expect:

• Financial Controlling: Communicating with business owners and collaborating on financial management
• Project Participation: Preparing new commercial activities and setting financial and commercial targets
• Reporting and Analysis: Regular management reporting, ad-hoc analyses, and evaluating financial and commercial results
• Process improvement: Simplifying and automating existing processes and reports (ideally using PowerBI)
• Planning and Monitoring: Planning and analyzing tracked metrics/KPIs, monitoring the success of business activities
• Collaboration: Working with colleagues across finance and other departments
• Skills Development: Gaining skills in financial and operational controlling

What we expect from you:

• Language Skills: Excellent written and spoken English.
• Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of MS 365, excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, SUMIF, COUNTIF, VLOOKUP, INDEX, MATCH, charts).
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate daily with colleagues, managers, and directors from various departments
• Analytical Thinking: Structured and systematic approach
• Proactive Approach: Willingness and drive to solve complex situations, follow through on tasks, and take responsibility.
• Desire for Development: Feeling responsible and owning your part of the project, actively seeking solutions rather than reasons why something doesn’t work.
